Better Tomorrow 2014

Siu Lum, a rookie ICAC investigator, has always felt the call to justice and righteousness. However, her beliefs are constantly challenged as she encounters discouraging situations in both her professional and personal lives. Her investigations of Betty - a supermarket manager involved in the illegal reselling of baby formula during Hong Kong's "formula frenzy" - uncover the moral dilemma of those trying to survive in difficult times, while the exodus of locals who choose to leave Hong Kong for a "better tomorrow" urges Siu Lum (and us) to reflect on our sense of responsibility, and the sacrifices we're willing to make for the places we call home.
